I have to admit it got me thinking. Prior to this movie, I just couldn't imagine how anyone in those photos could justify their behavior. Not to say that anything was "justified", but the documentary paints a pretty depressing picture of the reality of military culture. It doesn't answer enough questions, though; namely, why weren't any on-site higher-ranking officers held accountable?
